ISSUE	LIBERAL	CONSERVATIVE
Abortion	Allow a woman to choose, and let her answer to her conscience and her diety	Forbid choice by allowing the government to take on the role of diety.
Welfare and Poverty	Help those less fortunate with welfare-work, job training and education.	Help those less fortunate by demanding that they stop being lazy and get out and work.
Crime and Punishment	Limit the weapons people can buy and make sure there are very strict background checks. Punish or rehabilitate depending upon the individual cases.	Make sure really good and lethal guns are easily available, but severely punish criminals who use them with 'three strikes' or other mandatory sentences
Homeland Security	Protect the Bill of Rights to continue the American way of life	Destroy the Bill of Rights to protect the American way of life
Government Spending	Go into debt helping people who are unemployed, uninsured, retired or disabled	Go into debt funding an unjust war in Iraq
Civil Rights	All people are created equal and their rights must be protected	All people may be equal, but if 'they' aren't being or haven't been treated that way, it is 'their' fault
Tax policy	Taxes fund the government. Those that have benefited from living here should give the most back, so the wealthy should be taxed more.	Taxes fund unnecessary programs and should be cut, beginning with taxes of the wealthiest who get massive salaries by moving jobs overseas
